Health Fitness Trust is operated by an eminent international athlete marathoner of repute Dr. Sunita Godara (1992 Asian Marathon Gold medalist). Having won international marathons in Asia in Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Japan. In 1992 won the 3rd Asian Marathon Championship Gold & in 1998 Asian championship Bronze in Bangkok Marathon. Ran in 26 countries and the famous Boston Marathon 1985 and the London Marathon twice in 1990 & 1992.

The Trust was established in 1994 by Asian Marathon Champion Dr. Sunita Godara to promote health, fitness and carry out Public/community welfare activities aiming to cover a vast sphere of public benefit welfare activities. Health Fitness Trust is an all India non-profit NGO. To meet development initiatives at the urban slums, College/School and Youth levels primarily in Delhi & NCR Trust has been operating since 1994 and is registered in New Delhi, under the Charitable and Religious Trusts Act, 1920 of India. Registered No is – 43792/4/27.6.1994. PAN No- AAATH0989B. All the donations and contribution are exempted under 80G income tax certification.

Health Fitness Trust has made a mark in the sports arena against Drug Abuse since 1994 fighting against Drug Abuse in Sports through PIL in the Delhi High court. That Campaign & Movement forced sports Authority of India to update their Dope control Lab and make it world class.
Health Fitness Trust undertakes the welfare /CSR projects and operates Capacity Building program (Advance Vocational Courses & Life Enrichment Education – Nonformal Education & Adult Literacy, Women Safety Self Defense Projects, and Legal Awareness Campaigns) for underprivileged Youth/Women/School Children, Slums & RWAs in Delhi & NCR.
Health Fitness Trust organizes Mass Awareness Events in Delhi since 1995 till date – Health Runs, Seminars, Thematic Poster Competitions and Cultural Shows with School, NGOs, NCC, Scouts, Police & Army on various Social issues with the support of Corporate & Govt Deptts. Organized the Awareness Runs on International Day against Drug Abuse in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF, UNODC, UNFPA, Government Dept and Corporate with 5000 to 10000 participants since 2003.
Anti-Drug Campaign initiative by Health Fitness Trust is now in its 14th year. Health Fitness Trust has organized the event on the International Day Against Drug Abuse at India Gate since 2003 for past 14 yrs at India Gate in collaboration with various stakeholders – Dept of Prohibition, Delhi Govt, NISD of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Narcotics Control Bureau, UN agencies and the Public Sector companies along with NGO Forum on Drug Abuse Prevention, Educational institutions, non-profit organization, the private sector. The media, youth, parents, and teachers have supported this initiative to prevent drug use and keep our youth safe from drugs.
The initiative is being taken since 2003 by Health Fitness Trust in collaboration with Directorate of Prohibition, Govt of Delhi along with the other stakeholders in this field. NCB Govt of India, NISD Ministry of MSJE GOI, UN Agencies and other corporate partners like ONGC, Petronet, NDMC, NTPC, HPCL, IOC, Oil India, MTNL, BSNL, Airport Authority of India, ITS group of Institution, Lovely Professional University and many other corporate have supported the event in the past. The event has proved to be of great value for awareness on drug abuse all over India and has attracted attention because of its all-India reach. Every year more than 5000 participate in this campaign in a single day. And the follow-up programs are done at the community level.
Working as Partner with WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNODC, Narcotics Control Bureau, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dept of Women & Child Development on Health, Drug Abuse and HIV/AIDS Awareness Projects. She is organizing mass awareness events – Run, Seminar, Painting Competition, College debate and Thematic shows.
